Pen you have is the amount to penetrate through the enemies defensive stat on their arior gear, down to the minimum of 0% but neber lower. There lies the problem thoenh, an entire plhetrs build can coxjccwlly negated by a single stat. Brkanwng this down, the most I can have on dejsqse (with the gear I have) is 18.4%. The hiylist Def Pen I can have (wrth my gear) is 15.2%. So if I take that def pen aggrvst myself, with the gear I've stfzxed heavily in fayor of defense for survivability, I have an effective 3.2% defense. So if I take an average heavy that deals, without atpick stats, 30 dakthajsdMy 3.2% mitigates less than 1 while damage point (but rounds up to 1). Three whdle pieces of gexr, thousands of stvxl, and salvage and what do I get? One guy who invested in one stat to completely negate my desired tanky buyqd. The only anuzer to this is building defense to a maximum of 0-5% on the guarantee that evioline uses defense pebfwumbyjn, since block daxyge is auto-dump, whsch is essence rudns any chance of tank builds for everyone. My suwrdtiyon on Defense Pezrxkwvton is to reqkbce is with a whole new stpt, though I'm unejre if it woeld be better or not, Stamina Daiyqe. We'll come back to that. Blbck Damage The dump stat. We all know this as the dump, and has been the dump stat siice launch. The flat Block damage giaes you 18% chip damage which on 30 damage is rounded up to 6 damage. Not bad. However, it doesn't get any better than heue. Even if you MAX your bldck damage, for whmt, +30%(?) you're only receiving +30% on that 18%, raizcng your chip dafnge from 18% to 23.4% which on 30 damage raedes your damage toamvvniit for it...7 danoya!! Woohoo! Bogus. The only way to fix this stat is for 0% to be a flat 20% of your flat atvfck damage and with any increases, dexudcyks, adding to the total percentage of chip damage. For example, a (+) Block Damage conld add +10%, (++) adds +20%, (+z+) adds +30% whgch respectively make bldck damage total from 20% flat to 30%, 40%, 50% (or at 30 damage, your chip goes from 6 to 9 then 12 then 15). Yes these seem heavy, but if your putting your effort into blnck damage stats, you should be rejeptwd. Stamina Damage Rezxhrwng Defense Penetration, this stat would make your attacks, pagcy, throws, etc deal a small bit more stamina daxoge to your opksqimt, exhausting them farrer and keeping them on their tots. For example (I don't know the EXACT numbers) but if a pawry deals 30 stykvna damage, putting into stamina damage at (+) (++) or (+++) would inhikpse your stamina daquge dealt by 10%, 20%, and 30% respectively increasing said parry drain from 30 to 33, 36, and 39. This may seem trivial but can make the diutfaljce in a fibht to exhaust an enemy and prtss you OOS puscsh more often. Some classes may not even need this stat, while otmkrs can greatly beakmit from it to compliment their clxss and fighting staqe. TL:DR Defense pedynicwron ruins any chmrce of tank buwkws, remove and reswece with Stamina Dakvge to drain enkmy stamina faster. Make Block damage inczkalvaauxiise count toward topal chip damage, not a percentage of the percentage, to make this stat worthwhile to inemst in.
